Glenbow Museum with Edward Burtynsky

The aim of this show was to provide multiple entry points to Burtynsky's work by showing images next to text provided by the owners of the work. Here I have images of my father and mother looking at work that held some draw. Dad is a photographer/glassblower and has followed Burtynsky's photography for years.

Mom is in front of a photograph of Nickel Tailings outside of Sudbury ON. Mom was born and raised very close to the site of the photo. There was a sense of intellectual entanglement as mom traveled through her memories of INCO mines and growing up in Sudbury around the very pollution that makes these flawless photos carry such impact.

These photos were taken without permission and the link to Glenbow's show can be reached HERE

Edward Burtynsky makes perfection of our Manufactured Landscapes

Please let us introduce you to Edward Burtynsky

Edward Burtynsky is a photographic hero around the Visual Knead Studio. He is presently Canada's premiere Photographer. His books sales have been notable, but his business sense is part of what inspires us. He has kept his prices low enough to still be within reach for many collectors of art. I had the pleasure of meeting and discussing photography with Burtynsky, he is both humble and brilliant. Visual Knead Studios draws much inspiration from the sheer scope of his work.

None of these images belongs to me, for a full list of titles and sizes see them online here:

Clark Little blows my mind

These Photographs are amazing. Clark Little has managed to create a unique look within a genre of photography that is saturated with images that all look very similar. Little Freezes the water, causing your mind to think it is either stuck in a time warp or looking at glasswork. I wish this fellow artist all the best with his pursuits on and off of land.
